Providers "pending" enrollment with your insurance
If you’ve been matched with a provider that is “pending” enrollment with your insurance, Seven Starling will honor your in-network quote of benefits while we work on completing your provider’s enrollment with your plan. During this period you will be charged a rate per session as if we were in-network, which is equivalent to the insurance estimate our billing team quoted you.
Once your provider’s enrollment is complete, you will be charged the applicable copay per your plan for sessions and see claims populate in your insurance portal. Per your insurance plan, copays for previous visits may differ from their initial patient responsibility estimate once your claims are processed. Any applicable balance that your insurance indicates you owe or should be refunded will be applied once the claim is processed by your insurance company.
If your insurance processes your claims and notifies us that your actual copay differs from the initial patient responsibility estimate we communicated to you, we will inform you. We will then adjust the charges for past sessions to reflect the copay determined by your insurance plan, once your provider is fully enrolled.
If for any unexpected reason your provider does not end up becoming enrolled with your insurance plan, we will still honor your initial in-network cost estimate and not "back charge" for any out-of-network costs.
