Does Seven Starling accept my insurance?
Does Seven Starling accept my insurance?
We believe quality care should be accessible, which is why we partner with a wide range of providers. We accept most commercial plans—including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare—as well as some Medicaid plans.
Because coverage can change depending on where you live, we recommend using our Free Insurance Checker. It’s the fastest way to see exactly what your plan covers before you get started.
We offer support for out-of-network reimbursement as well. Our Care Support team can help explain how it works and provide the paperwork you'll need. We'll check these benefits during your initial consultation so you can have the full picture of what you're eligible for.
How can I find out how much my sessions will cost?
If you are using insurance to pay for care, the Seven Starling Billing team will verify your benefits and send you an email after you submit your intake forms in full. This email will include:
- An overview of your estimated cost per session.
- Any applicable deductible (patient responsibility).
Session amounts owed will be charged to your payment method on file following your sessions and can be viewed in your Seven Starling account.
Note: Your session cost is our best estimate based on current information from your insurance plan. It is your responsibility to understand your mental health benefits. Any estimates provided are non-binding and subject to change once claims have been processed.
Understanding your "Quote of Benefits"
Insurance terminology can feel like a second language. To help you decode your Quote of Benefits email, here is a breakdown of the most common terms you’ll see:
- Deductible: A set amount you must pay for medical care before your benefits kick in.
- Co-pay: A fixed amount you pay for each visit (e.g., $25).
- Co-insurance: A percentage of the total cost of care that you are responsible for (e.g., 20%).
- Out-of-Pocket Costs: The total amount you pay yourself versus what your insurance covers.
- Cash-Pay Rate: The fixed amount you pay per visit if you are not using insurance (also known as the self-pay rate).
