We know life can be unpredictable, especially during some of its most demanding seasons.
Attending therapy sessions consistently is vital for achieving meaningful progress in your mental health journey. Therapy works best when there is regular commitment, allowing you to build momentum, develop skills, and address challenges effectively.
Additionally, when a patient no-shows, late reschedules, or late cancels an appointment (with less than or equal to 24 hours' notice), we miss the opportunity to provide care to other patients and compensate our providers for the time they reserved for you.
Given that we know it can be easy to forget an appointment, we send out regular reminders via email and SMS before your sessions. This allows you to reschedule or cancel before the 24-hour mark. You must cancel your appointment before the 24-hour mark to avoid being charged any applicable late-cancellation/no-show fees.
We suggest adding "support@sevenstarling.com" to your "safe sender" list, or mark it as "not spam” based on the settings in your email account, to avoid missing appointment booking confirmation and reminder emails.
Late Cancellations
A session is considered a late cancellation when you request to cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than or equal to 24-hours notice. In the event that you need to cancel a session within the 24-hour late cancellation window, we ask that you email support@sevenstarling.com and send a chat message* to your therapist in the app to let us know.
*Please note that at this time chat functionality is only available between patient and therapist, not patient and Nurse Practitioner.
No-Shows
A session is considered a no-show when you do not enter the session within 15-minutes of the start time.
One-Time Fee Waiver
We understand that life happens and things can come up unexpectedly. Out of respect for this, we automatically waive every patient's first late cancellation/no-show fee on the first occurrence (for individual, group, or medical appointment - whichever is first, and for a total of one fee waiver of any appointment type, not per appointment type).
Late Cancellation and No-Show Fees
If you late cancel, late reschedule, or no-show a scheduled appointment, your card will be automatically charged a late cancellation/no-show fee of $50 for individual sessions (therapy or medical), or $20 for group therapy sessions.
