What to expect after your introductory consultation

Create Your Account

During your initial consultation with your Care Coordinator, you’ll be sent a link via SMS to create your Seven Starling account. Once you create your account, you’ll be prompted to complete your intake forms. 


Complete Your Intake Forms

Completing your intake forms is a required step to begin your care journey. We’ve kept our intakes short to streamline your onboarding process, and it should take you between 5-10 minutes total to complete them in full. 

We collect information about your journey, background and your goals, as well as your preferred appointment times and insurance information (if applicable). This will help us match you to the best providers for your unique care journey.

In your intake forms, you’ll be required to submit photos of your government-issued photo ID and insurance cards:

  • Government-issued photo ID: this can be a state driver’s license, state ID card, US passport, or US passport card
    • If the ID you submit does not reflect your state of residency, our team will reach out to you requesting a secondary document that establishes proof of residency. This can be a utility bill or a bank statement with your full name and current home address. This ensures we match you to the right provider who is licensed in your state of residence.
  • Insurance card photos (if using insurance to pay for care): please ensure you submit a photo of both the front and the back of your insurance card(s).

Cost Estimate for Your Care

As soon as your intakes are completed in full, along with the required documentation listed above, you’ll receive a cost estimate for your care via email.  


Care Team Match & Appointments Scheduled

Once receiving your cost of care, you’ll be notified about your Care Team matches and scheduled appointments, typically within 1-3 business days of completing your intake forms in full.

We’ll use the information you share in your intake forms to match you with a licensed therapist that meets your needs and is licensed to support you in your state. 98% of Seven Starling members stay with their first match.


We book your appointments based on the availability you provide in your "Scheduling & Availability" intake form.

We will do our best to schedule your desired times, depending on provider availability. You will be notified via email and SMS at the time of initial match and appointment booking, and on an ongoing basis in advance of ongoing appointments via email, SMS, and in-app notification reminders.
